Flowers for Instagram Reels: Reels you planned and tested

A Reel lives in the feed, in the Reels tab and on your profile grid. It has to hook fast and still fit your account. Flowers helps you test the idea, write the script, then prepare an Instagram-specific caption and post.

Format basics

Format
Vertical 9:16, usually 1080 × 1920 px.
Length
Reels can run up to 3 minutes at the time of writing. Check the limit shown in your app before exporting.
Caption
Up to 2,200 characters; only the first lines show before “more”.
Cover
You can pick a cover image. It gets cropped on your profile grid, so keep the subject and text centered.
Covered areas
Your username, caption and buttons sit over the bottom and right of the screen: avoid placing text there.

Adapting your content

  • Treat the first frame as seriously as the hook: on Instagram, the look matters at first glance.
  • Think about the grid: a readable, consistent cover helps new visitors understand your account.
  • Give people a reason to save: a method, a list, a recipe or a reference they will want later.
  • Add captions or on-screen text: plenty of people watch with the sound off.
  • Tie each Reel to your main theme so every video reinforces what your account is about.

Captions and text

  • Open the caption with a line that extends the hook, not with a hashtag.
  • Use the caption for useful detail the video cannot show: steps, ingredients, references.
  • Break it into short lines; a dense block is hard to read on a phone.
  • Close with a few specific hashtags tied to what the Reel is actually about.

What Flowers does

In Flowers, your Reel gets a caption variant written for Instagram, separate from your TikTok and YouTube versions. You can schedule the post and track an Instagram-only status; if it fails, you retry Instagram alone, with no duplicates on other networks. A Reel is only marked “Posted” once Instagram confirms it. Connecting your account is optional and only needed to post or pull in results; direct posting depends on the permissions Instagram grants and the account types it supports.

FAQ

Does Flowers post my Reels automatically?

Only if you schedule them and your Instagram account is connected with the right permissions. Otherwise, you prepare everything in Flowers and post it yourself.

Can I use the same caption on Instagram and TikTok?

You can, but Flowers gives you one variant per network so you can adjust length, tone and hashtags. You decide what to keep.

Can Flowers analyze Reels I have already posted?

You can import a video to get a timestamped breakdown: hook, pacing, visuals, voice, on-screen text and sound. Audience results are only pulled in if your account is connected.
