Multiposting

Also called : cross-posting, crossposting, multi-platform publishing, repurposing

Definition

Multiposting is publishing the same video on several networks, such as Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. It creates more chances to be seen without more shoots.

Why multiposting is useful

A video takes time to make. Publishing it on several platforms lets you reach different audiences for the same creative effort. Each network has its own habits, text formats and rules, though: effective multiposting adapts rather than copying identically.

How to multipost short-form video

  • Export a clean version, with no watermark from another app.
  • Adapt the caption, hashtags and CTA for each network.
  • Check the formats each platform accepts at the time you publish.
  • Example: the same recipe posted with a short caption on TikTok, a more detailed caption on Instagram and a clear title on YouTube Shorts.

Common multiposting mistakes

  • Posting a file stamped with another network’s logo.
  • Copying the same caption everywhere without adapting it.
  • Treating a video as published everywhere when one network rejected it.
In Flowers

Once your accounts are connected, Flowers publishes to Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts with one text variant per network and scheduling. Each network has its own status: if one fails, you can retry just that one, and nothing is marked “Published” until the network confirms it.

FAQ

Do platforms penalize multiposting?

Platforms don’t publish a simple rule on this. What’s generally discouraged is reposting a file that carries another network’s watermark. Check each platform’s current guidance.

Should I post at the same time everywhere?

Not necessarily. You can schedule each network separately based on your habits and your audience’s.
